Rack space commissioned a research study into what the Web will be like in the year 2020. The study by The Social Issues Research Centre made some interesting assumptions of 3D social networks and enhanced mobile communications, video messaging and video calls which will allow us to be present while actually being physically absent. The study provides an insight into how business will be done in the future with software being used as services and the web being the norm for communication.
